Editorial policy
Southern Community Hub aims to make community topics clear, useful and fair. We explain the basis of our wording, distinguish fact from opinion and update material when a meaningful error is identified.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable material before publication, and write so readers can see what a suggestion does and does not establish. When a subject depends on local arrangements or requirements, we say so rather than implying that one approach applies everywhere.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a partnership. We do not promise favourable coverage in return for payment, access or another benefit. Relevant interests that could affect a piece are disclosed alongside it.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the page and the detail in question. We assess the information, correct substantial errors and make the change clear where appropriate; a correction does not remove the need to preserve an accurate account of what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, provided or otherwise collaborative material is labelled clearly near its placement so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where that applies, the image or its caption will say so. Illustrations are not presented as documentary evidence.
A community is made in the details
Shared life grows through clear invitations, considerate spaces and contributions that fit real schedules. We focus on choices people can adapt to their own neighbourhood.
